Capgemini, Sogeti and HP Entreprise released the new World Quality Report 2016 giving a global outlook and analysing the quality level of apps, test methods and trends in different fields. Based on more than 1600 interviews, in 32 countries, the study underlined the lack of resources dedicated in IoT projects for quality and testing. To enhance competitiveness and rise added-value for their customers, 85% of companies integrated the IoT in their information technology strategy. However, in the meantime, 68% of them don’t build up an appropriate testing strategy.

IT quality budget increased from 18% to 31% these past years and expectations for 2019 are about 40% of IT budget development. The report recommends hence to invest on smart quality and testing tools to integrate quality in the early stages of development. Agile and DevOps approach are also approved as a relevant solution, an added cost than companies compensate with predictive analysis systems enabling automated testing.
