Mayors’ Fair of Var — Draguignan, Friday, October 17, 2025

A day dedicated to connected and sustainable territories

On Friday, October 17, 2025, Draguignan hosted the 8ᵗʰ edition of the Mayors’ and Intermunicipalities Fair of Var, organized by AMF83 at the Henri Giran Sports Complex.
This key regional event brought together local elected officials, municipal staff, and public and private stakeholders. More than a hundred exhibitors attended, with numerous conferences and discussions addressing the concrete challenges faced by today’s territories.

EGM on the ground: stand 2, meetings and live demonstrations

EGM took part in the fair (stand 2), seizing the opportunity to present to local authorities and decision-makers our IoT and territorial management solutions designed to make municipalities smarter, more resilient, and more efficient.

On our stand, Pierre Michel, PhD, Alexandre Martel, and Franck Le Gall welcomed visitors for hands-on exchanges and technical discussions.

In summary, we showcased:

  • Supervision and optimization solutions for connected infrastructures,

  • Modular platforms designed to accelerate proof-of-concept phases and industrialize IoT projects at lower cost.

These topics directly addressed the priorities expressed by many attending municipalities, particularly regarding energy efficiency, waste management, and the optimization of public services.

Key moments and highlights

  • A rich program: thematic conferences, institutional meetings, and a busy exhibition space throughout the day.

  • A constructive atmosphere: elected officials, engineers, and companies discussed practical solutions for the digital and ecological transition of municipalities.
Local media such as Nice-Matin and TV83 also covered the event, underlining its relevance as the next municipal cycles approach.

Key takeaways for local authorities

  1. From pilot to scale: solutions must be rapidly testable and easily scalable.

  2. Measure to decide better: sensors and data (lighting, waste, consumption) enable more informed operational and budgetary decisions.

  3. Public-private cooperation: successful projects rely on continuous dialogue between elected officials, technical departments, and local/regional suppliers.
