In the framework of Forest Fire Defense (DFCI), effective management of access to forest areas is essential to prevent and combat wildfires, we drive an ambitious project to address these challenges through the remote control of DFCI Gates.

The Advantages of the DFCI Gates ✅

The DFCI Gates, designed and managed by EGM, stand out for their modern and robust features:

    • Smart Access Control: Dynamic code management or mobile applications ensure secure and flexible access.
    • Emergency Openings: Rapid code transmission to firefighters and rescue services for immediate access.

 

  • Adaptability: Tailored features for planned interventions (e.g., maintenance, clearing) or generalized emergencies.

  • Proactive Security    : Regular code rotation and alerts in case of failures, vandalism, or detected risks (e.g., high temperatures).
  • Operation in offline mode: often located in white areas, control can be done in the absence of network connectivity

🌍 A Pilot Project in Provence Verte

In partnership with the CAPV, EGM is testing the DFCI Gates at three pilot sites. These gates, powered by solar panels and equipped with connected systems, allow for testing of various configurations, including in network-free zones.

The deployed gates include:

  • An electric gate: Used daily, equipped with parallel electronic management.
  • Two keyed gates: Upgraded with electronic locks for experimentation in remote areas.
