EGM and TETRIS: a long-term partnership serving the ecological transition 🌱
A collaboration dating back to 2017 🤝
Since 2017, EGM has been a partner of the SCIC TETRIS, a citizen cooperative based in Gréolières, within the Les Grandes Roches third-place. TETRIS is a key player in the ecological transition, combining social sciences research, training, co-construction, and concrete actions on the territory.
This partnership is rooted in a shared ambition: to foster local experimentation, promote the use of citizen data, and support territories in their ecological transition.
Deployment of Econom’o in Gréolières 💧
As part of this partnership, EGM deployed the Econom’o solution, designed to optimize agricultural irrigation management. Three Econom’o modules were installed, along with soil moisture sensors, all connected via a LoRaWAN infrastructure.
This smart system enables rational water management, essential for TETRIS’s market gardening activities. It also contributes to their research in social sciences, particularly on territorial and citizen data.
Fieldwork carried out by the EGM team 👩🔧👨🔧
The deployment was carried out on-site by Léa and Iheb, members of the EGM team. Their work reflects several years of collaboration and marks a significant milestone in experimenting with Econom’o to support more sustainable agriculture.
A shared vision
For EGM, working with TETRIS means taking part in a cooperative dynamic that connects technological innovation, citizen experimentation, and ecological transition. This project perfectly illustrates how IoT solutions can be embedded in local and collective approaches to address today’s environmental challenges.
