C2JN: The Sovereign Cloud Continuum and Digital Twins Driving Innovation
In a world where data management and resource optimization are essential, the C2JN project (Sovereign Cloud Continuum and Digital Twins) provides an innovative and strategic response to the challenges faced by smart cities and agile businesses. Through an integrated approach, it combines the capabilities of the cloud continuum and digital twins to offer high-performance, resilient, and sovereign solutions.
What is the Cloud Continuum and Digital Twins?
The Cloud Continuum is an ecosystem of distributed computing resources, ranging from micro data centers to large cloud infrastructures. It enables dynamic and optimized data management and processing, tailored to user needs and performance and sovereignty constraints.
Digital Twins, on the other hand, are virtual representations of physical objects (sensors, infrastructures, servers, etc.). By modeling and simulating their behavior in a digital environment, they help optimize decision-making, anticipate scenarios, and improve system performance. 🔍
C2JN Project Goals
The C2JN project aims to:
- Develop an experimental platform of digital twins based on a sovereign cloud.
- Deploy an initial concrete application in the city of Issy-les-Moulineaux.
- Address the growing needs of businesses and local authorities for resource optimization and resilience.
- Ensure interoperability with open standards such as NGSI-LD .particularly through FIWARE and
- Support technological independence by providing sovereign solutions tailored to the European market’s requirements.
Concrete Applications for Cities and Businesses
The C2JN project encompasses several use cases:
🏙️ Smart City: Thanks to digital twins, the city of Issy-les-Moulineaux is able to analyze and optimize traffic flow in business districts. The goal is to reduce congestion, improve traffic efficiency, and enhance the sovereignty of urban data.
🏢 Agile Business: Advanced IT resource management in a hybrid cloud environment allows businesses to better anticipate and optimize their IT consumption while managing risks related to performance and costs.
A Consortium of Experts and Key Impacts
C2JN is led by a consortium of major players in cloud computing, IoT, and data management, including EGM, Green Communication, Gandi, NewGen, and Issy Media. This partnership ensures the project’s success by leveraging complementary expertise.
📈 Expected Outcomes:
- 85 jobs created within seven years of the project’s launch.
- Development of an innovative service offering integrated into EGM’s Twin·Picks data orchestration solution .
- New products for Gandi and NewGen, with PaaS and SaaS solutions .
- Initial deployment in the city of Issy-les-Moulineaux.
Conclusion
With C2JN, the future of digital twins and sovereign cloud computing is taking shape. This project combines innovation, sovereignty, and performance, providing direct applications for smart cities and digital enterprises. By delivering concrete solutions and addressing the challenges of digital transformation, C2JN paves the way for a new era of intelligent data and infrastructure management. 🌍
